  • Q. What is a laser measurement tool?
    A. A laser measurement tool, also known as a laser distance measurer, is device that uses laser technology to accurately measure distances over long ranges. Widely used across sectors like construction, architecture, engineering, and real estate, this meter works by emitting a laser beam towards a target object or surface. The device then calculates the time it takes for the laser beam to bounce back to the device, using the speed of light, to measure the distance between the device and the target. This distance measured is then displayed on the meter's screen, thus offering accurate measurements minimizing the need for physically touching the object or using traditional measuring tools like measuring tapes or rulers.
  • Q. What is the LD70 Laser Distance Meter?
    A. The LD70 Laser Distance Meter is a measurement tool designed for measuring distances ranging from 2 inches to 230 feet (0.05 to 70 meters). This distance meter is designed for one-person operation and measures with high accuracy and repeatability.
  • Q. How accurate is the LD70 Laser Distance Meter?
    A. The LD70 laser distance meter offers precision in the range of ±1mm to ±3mm.
  • Q. Can the LD70 measure angles accurately?
    A. Yes, the LD70 measure angles accurately through the real-time on-screen angle display.
  • Q. Does the LD70 have memory for measurement storage?
    A. Yes, the LD70 can store up to 20 readings. This feature allows users to refer the previous measurements whenever required, thereby enhancing efficiency.
  • Q. Can I choose a reference edge on the LD70 Laser Distance Meter?
    A. The LD70 Laser Distance meter allow users to take reference edge by choosing between the back and the front of the device. This feature offers flexibility in measuring from different starting points.
  • Q. Does LD70 support layout tasks?
    A. Yes, the LD70 support layout tasks through its Stakeout function. This function allow users to set up studs and fences, thereby making it a suitable tool for measuring and layout functions.
  • Q. What is the Difference Between Laser Distance Measurers Vs Laser Measuring Tape?
    A. Laser distance measurers and laser measuring tapes are two widely used tools for measuring distances in various industries. While both tools utilize laser technology, there are significant differences between the two. A few amongst them include:
    - Precision: Laser distance measurers are typically more accurate than measuring tape. Our LDMs can measure distance from 2" to 230' - (LD70), whereas the tapes often have a larger margin of error.
    - Ease of Use: Laser distance meters are easier to use and demand less physical effort. The laser beam is emitted with just a push of button. The distance is displayed on a digital screen. On the other hand, laser measuring tape demands manual operation. One needs to physically hold the tape, measure, and read the measurement.
    - Range: Compared to measuring tape, laser distance measurers have a much larger measuring range. LDMs can accurately measure longer distances up to several hundred feet, while laser tapes are more suitable for shorter distances.
    - Additional Features: Laser distance measurers have several additional and new features that enhance their functionality. A few of the features include; built-in calculations for area and volume, memory functions, and Bluetooth connectivity. Laser measuring tapes, on the other hand, do not have these additional features.
    - Durability: Laser distance meters are typically more durable and resistant to wear and tear than tapes. They are manufactured with sturdy casing, that can withstand harsh working conditions. However, tapes are more prone to bending, tearing, or snapping if mishandled.
    - Cost: Due to their advanced technology and additional features, laser distance meters are generally more expensive than laser measuring tapes. Tapes are more affordable and accessible, making them a popular choice for individuals and small-scale projects.
