FAQs

The Triplett Model SBR2M connects to virtually any security camera tester and turns it into a borescope. It features a IP67 waterproof (lens only) 8mm camera with a 2m (6.5ft) cable that has 6 ajustable LEDS with thumbwheel control. The borescope connects using the cables already included with your camera tester. Power is provided by the camera tester (12V 1/2/3A) — no batteries are needed. The borescope utilizes the display resolution of your camera tester. Image snapshot and video record functions are dependent on camera tester's capability. Includes hook, mirror and magnet.

  • Q. Would the camera on these be resistant to jet fuel? Could it be submerged in jet fuel without damaging the camera?
    A. Yes, it can be used for inspection inside a jet engine (jet fuel) but the if the jet fuel temperature is under 10°C (50°F) then it won’t work for a very long time. Also, after finishing the inspection, We suggest you use some alcohol to clean the camera.
