  • Q. What is an In-Line PoE Surge Protector?
    A. An In-Line PoE (Power over Ethernet) Surge Protector is a specialized device designed to protect PoE-enabled equipment and Ethernet networks from voltage spikes, power surges, and transient electrical disturbances.
  • Q. Why is surge protection important for PoE networks?
    A. Surge protection is important for PoE networks because voltage spikes and surges can cause significant damage to PoE-enabled devices. Protecting these devices helps maintain network reliability, reduces downtime, and prevents costly equipment replacements.
  • Q. Where should an In-Line PoE Surge Protector be installed?
    A. An In-Line PoE Surge Protector is typically installed between the PoE switch or injector and the PoE-enabled device. It acts as a barrier, diverting surges before they reach the connected equipment.
  • Q. What types of surges can an In-Line PoE Surge Protector protect against?
    A. An In-Line PoE Surge Protector can protect against various types of surges, including lightning-induced surges, power grid fluctuations, and transient voltage spikes caused by nearby equipment.
