The Triplett Model HSDL300 Heat Stress WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) Meter monitors indoor/outdoor heat stress to help limit the danger of heat-related injury. It simultaneously displays Air or Globe Temperature, Humidity, and Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT). Memory stores up to 12,000 readings each containing Air Temperature, Humidity, WBGT, and Globe Temperature with a user programmable sampling rate of 1, 5, 10, 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes. A USB interface is used for transferring stored readings to your PC in csv format. It features a programmable audible and visual WBGT alarm and a backlight that changes color as the WGBT value increases (Green/ Yellow/Red/Flashing Red). An In/Out function switch measures WBGT with or without the effects of direct sunlight. °F/°C switchable. Tripod mount can be used to free-up your hands when taking measurements over an extended amount of time. Includes (4) AAA batteries and a mini USB cable. 1-year warranty. For outdoor athletic training and events, construction, iron and steel foundries, brick firing plants, glass facilities, boiler rooms, mining sites, and other areas where heat stress levels should be monitored.

Every year, dozens of workers die and thousands more become ill while working in extreme heat or humid conditions. Heat illnesses can affect anyone, regardless of age or physical condition. For example, even elite athletes need to take precautions while practicing their sports in extreme heat conditions. Monitoring the Heat Index (HI) and the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) help you to respond to these conditions, providing plenty of water, rest and shade!
The Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) is a measure of heat stress in direct sunlight. Here, temperature, humidity, wind speed, sun angle and cloud cover (solar radiation) are calculated. This differs from the Heat Index, which calculates temperature and humidity for shady areas. The Triplett HS10 monitors indoor/outdoor heat index, as well as wet bulb globe temperature to keep you aware of ever-changing conditions to help limit the danger of heat-related injury. This is the perfect safety tool!
Applications include outdoor athletic training and events, construction, iron and steel foundries, brick firing plants, glass facilities, boiler rooms, mining sites, and other areas where heat index levels should be monitored.
Keep cool and don’t let Heat Stress – Stress you out!
Q. The product specifications mention accuracy for temperature measurements. Does this accuracy also apply to the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) readings?
A. The accuracy specifications provided are strictly for direct temperature measurements. The Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) is a calculated index that integrates additional environmental factors such as humidity, wind speed, and solar radiation. Therefore, the accuracy of the WBGT reading is influenced by the precision of these individual measurements combined with the calculation method used. It does not directly follow the same accuracy specification as the temperature measurements.
