  • Q. What is a pH electrode with a BNC connector, and how does it work?
    A. A pH electrode with a BNC connector is a specialized sensor used for measuring the acidity or alkalinity of a solution (pH level). The BNC connector is a standardized electrical connection that allows the electrode to be easily connected to pH meters and controllers. The electrode works by generating a voltage signal based on the hydrogen ion concentration in the solution, which is then converted into a pH reading.
  • Q. What is the purpose of the BNC connector on the pH electrode?
    A. The BNC connector serves as a standardized interface that allows for easy connection and disconnection of the pH electrode to pH meters and controllers. It ensures a secure electrical connection and prevents signal interference.
  • Q. Are pH electrodes with BNC connectors interchangeable between different pH meters and controllers?
    A. In general, pH electrodes with BNC connectors are interchangeable as long as they have the same connector type (BNC). However, it's essential to ensure compatibility with the specific pH meter or controller in use, as some may have unique requirements or calibration procedures.
  • Q. Can I use a pH electrode with a BNC connector for both aqueous and non-aqueous solutions?
    A. pH electrodes are designed for use in aqueous solutions. If you need to measure the pH of non-aqueous solutions or organic solvents, you should use specialized electrodes designed for those applications.
